Terry Statement on Muammar Qaddafi’s Death PDF Print

Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE) today offered the following statement on reports that deposed Libyan Dictator Muammar Qaddafi has been killed. Qaddafi was wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of crimes against humanity, including ordering the killing of civilians.

"Reports that Muammar Qaddafi has been killed are good news for America and the rest of the world. An enemy of freedom has been brought to justice by those he ruled with an iron fist for more than 40 years. Today's events pave the way for a new day in Libya, and I wish the Transitional National Council well," Terry said.
